Frequently asked questions

What counts as an entry-level job in this tool?

We count a job posting as entry-level when it asks for less than one year of experience. The share of postings that meet this definition is shown for every occupation.

Where do the wages and hiring numbers come from?

From the Government of Canada Job Bank open data: 53,445 postings with an occupation code (NOC 2021) from the August 2026 file. Wages are converted to an hourly figure and we show the 25th, median and 75th percentile. This is information about advertised jobs, not a guarantee of any offer.

Is the AI job finder really free?

Yes. There is no account and no payment. The site may show advertising to cover its costs.

What happens to the text I type?

It is sent to Google’s Gemini API to produce your matches. Do not include your name, phone number, address or email. We do not store your text; a result can be cached for up to 7 days under an anonymous hash, and your IP address is only kept as a salted hash to limit daily use.

Why do I see mostly service, trades and logistics jobs?

Because Job Bank is a public job board used heavily by employers hiring for those roles. Corporate and professional graduate roles are often posted on LinkedIn, company career pages and campus career centres, so they are under-represented here. Use this tool to see realistic starting points and wages, and search other boards for professional roles.

Is this affiliated with the Government of Canada or Job Bank?

No. AdaptiT Pro is an independent website. Statistics are derived from open data published by the Government of Canada under the Open Government Licence – Canada.
